Business Manager's Update
Congratulations are in order for our organizers, staff and members for increasing our membership by more than 10% and signing 14 new contractors in the last year, enabling us to increase our market share during this time period. It is our goal to increase those numbers every year going forward. As you can see below, our Building Trades has been busy negotiating Project Labor Agreements (PLA’s) and Community Benefits Agreements (CBA’s) on projects all throughout Orange County. Our Local has been instrumental in securing these Agreements. Because of our efforts building relationships with council members and school board members over the years, they fully understand the benefits of local hire, veterans and our Apprenticeship Program.

I’d like to thank everyone for all of the kind words regarding this year’s Family Picnic & Pin Awards, held at the Garden Grove Elks Lodge. We had about 700 participants who enjoyed the pin awards ceremony, great music, food and lots of raffle prizes. The kids took part in their own Kids Only raffle, along with two bounce houses, face painting, a balloon artist, games and a water balloon fight to cool down. A great time was had by all.
Hope to see you all at our Christmas Party December 9th!
As always, stay safe!
